Juno Beach Real Estate

The small Town of Juno Beach is located on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The island was created in 1898 by the cutting of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Juno Beach is predominantly residential, with waterfront estates, condos, golf homes and more. The town is home to almost 4,000 full-time residents and about 7,500 seasonal residents. Almost half of the land in the town is environmentally protected, and the coastline is one of the highest density nesting areas for sea turtles in the world. The Loggerhead Marine Life Center in Juno Beach serves as a non-profit education and conservation facility.

Residents can enjoy 2.3 miles of beaches with 11 public dune walkovers, along with numberous parks offering athletic facilities, trails, playgrounds and picnic areas. Pelican Lake, a 12-acre lake at the north end of the Town Center, offers a one-mile walking path around the lake.

While the Town of Juno Beach is a relatively young community, incorporated in 1953, the area’s history dates back much farther. Its predecessor was Juno, which served as an important transportation terminal and was the county seat of then-Dade County from 1890 to 1900. The short line Celestial Railway ran between Juno and Jupiter, until the development of Palm Beach began at the end of the 19th century, eventually leading to the demise of the railway and the town.

The community of Juno Beach emerged in the mid-20th century, after the development of the famous Seminole Golf Club and the subdivision adjoining it, which served as the beginning of planned development in the area.
